FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEWLY RENOVATED PROCESSING LAB IS PRODUCING POSITIVES FOR B&P LITTLEFORD DAY

SAGINAW, MI (AUGUST 15, 2016) – As part of the acquisition of the assets of Littleford Day, B&P Process Equipment recently completed a renovation of its highly-regarded processing lab known as the Technology Center. The space improvements along with additional equipment assets from Littleford are producing positive results for new and existing customers.

“We are extremely pleased with the changes in our Technology Center,” said Larry Slovin, President and CEO of B&P. “The space modifications and additional machines from Littleford continue our strong commitment to research and development to support our customers while expanding opportunities for future business.”

Ranging in capacity from five to 150 liters, five jacketed plow mixers from Littleford’s Kentucky headquarters joined B&P’s facility in Saginaw. The largest unit, a KM150 continuous mixer, was converted from volumetric to gravimetric control, optimizing test results for customers.

The Technology Center consists of 16,000 square feet of dynamic space that is constantly evolving and improving to develop innovative technology, new equipment and new techniques to make familiar equipment more productive. The renovation project for Littleford’s machines finished in six months and did not affect existing tests thanks to built-in redundancies in the lab. In addition to maximizing space, B&P used the opportunity to improve efficiencies throughout the spaces, such as housing lab utilities like hot oil, hot water, steam and cool water into multiple bays.

Considered the most robust processing lab in the industry, the Technology Center is an added value for clients considering B&P equipment purchases. It houses well-developed test cells where customers can work hand-in-hand with process engineers and technicians to evaluate equipment and processes under controlled, safe, pilot plant conditions. Every year, the Technology Center conducts hundreds of confidential equipment and process demonstrations for customers in every branch of the processing industry.
